  1. St. Mary’s School Pune

Formal instruction starts from Prep, but the pace is slow, so that the foundation is strong. While academics are a very important part of our curriculum, the mission of St. Mary’s has been and will always be to provide a well-rounded educational experience that will prepare students to pursue confidently the journey of their lives.

EMPROS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is what i would rcomend to people if you r looking for a good school for your child…Its from Nursery to Class IV.
Heres the website: http://asmempros.org/

Thanks for the information. I’ve been looking for the good school for my relatives in Pune. This is really helpful. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the information . Its really helpful . It has helped me a lot to find a good school for myself.

nice post……it help in many students going on pune.

Hi,

Not satisfies with the rankings… this does not make much sense though some schools listed here are good..does not imply for all though… the top schools depend on different features and depends on what you are looking for in a school…. viz St Vincents is good in sport.. but so is JN Petit…. Bishops is good but then it is also extremely costly…St Josephs i highly doubt….Ornella’s had some golden days but those were even before us… so research more.. dnt rely on blogs…

Hi Azhar

Thanks a lot for your valuable comments. I have not ranked the schools on any basis but a general view of schools based on popularity, infrastructure, facilities etc by reading the reviews on Internet and blogs. Would definitely like to have your top 10 fav schools.

not acccurate… St. Marys deserve the top… how come St. Helena and Bishop is languishing in the 6th and 7th spot… and St. Joseph at 3rd is laughable… please provide a recent ranking as it will help parents in making decision… there are lots of information on some schools and just address on some! wht isthe basis of ranking???

Well! ur surely off the mark and missed the side of the barn big time.
The list includes not a single CBSE school which are the first choice for any parent who comes from outside Maharashtra, especially if his/her ward was already studying in one.
I hope you can include them as well. Anyways, they are quite few and can be counted on one hand only if you exclude the K Vs, Army and Air Force Schools. Why don’t you make a new list including these and DPS as well???
I would definitely like others to be benefited as well.

Hi Kunal

Valid point. Thanks a ton for your response. I would surely add more schools..this is just a list based on what I found on various Internet sites as “Best rated schools” based on infrastructure etc. Would request yo to list a few schools from Pune that you feel shd be on the list.

not satisfied with this rating

Dear Neeta
Pls suggest what more schools shd be added?

Could you publish details of syllabus followed in senior KG and STD 1 in the schools listed in your website

Dear Amarpreet

Each school has a unique syllabus and does not divulge the details to anyone else but its wards. If you want to have a detailed look, I would suggest meet some parents/teachers of that school and discuss with them. I am sure most schools would not mind giving a brief idea about what all is taught in school in these classes. But to know the detailed syllabus, you would have to contact the autorities.

Regards
Pfundas

St. Joseph’s School’s contact no. given here is incorrect. Kindly correct it.
Thanks!

st joseph’s school number is incorrect, it is a private residential number of a family who get irritated when you call them

not satisfied at all…Bishops Camp or St. Helena’s should be on the Number 1 spot followed by St.Mary’s….and St.Josephs Pashans on number 3 are u joking it shud be number 8 or 9….and St.Anne’s and Abhinav Vidyalaya cant b ranked above St.Helena’s or Bishops Camp!!!!but wat shell shocked me wad St.Joseph Pashans at Number 3!!!!!!!!!! St.Vincents deserves to b 3rd…..now here’s my ranking……
1-St.Helena’s School OR Bishops Camp
2-St.Mary’s
3-St.Vincents
4-St.Annes
5-Abhinav Vidyalaya
6-St.Mary’s Boys
7-St.Joseph Pashans
8-Symbiosis International School
9-Loyla’s School
10-St.Clare’s school
and by the way the top 10 school’s in ur list are directly lifted up from VIRTUAL PUNE.COM…..i just want a l’il justice for FANTASTIC schools like Bishops camp and St.Helena’s……

thanks for the info..but the numbers arenot assigned according to ranks. its just information of all the schools rather than who is no.1 and no. 2! I Blv no school can be no.1 or no.2..each school is special and unique in own way…

Good evening Sir
i fuuly agreed with you. now a days schools become commercial. very expensive….
can you please advice me which school is best for my kids in pune. this is my first year in pune so i havent idea of it. please provide me two three good CBSE and maharashtra board school so i can afford fees and all.
thanks

thanx a lot ritu…. between all misleading sites and vlogs …an honest opinion is really appreciated…. i’m father of a 1 1/2 year old and was really confused about which school to chose. Moving to pune from mumbai soon.

Hi Ritu,
Just wanted to know if you have any reviews of St Helena, is it ICSE till 12th std ? I dont see any website for this school so cant get more info about it .
Please share if you have any information about this school.

Regards,
RSHAH

St. Helena’s is an ICSE School, up to Class X. They don’t have website.

Hi Sam,
Any idea how is St Helena from academic and extra-curicular activities?

wht abt J.N Petit, best in sports for cricket…& has two biggest grounds which no other school has & in the heart of the city.

BISHOPS? FANTASTIC SCHOOL??? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA … YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME …. VINCENTIAN FOREVER … DARE DO n WIN

Ms Ritu Bhatia, if u r refering virtual pune. Com. Plz read blog thouroughly. And kindly correct ur point no 8. Which is sumbiosys international school. It is Symbiosys school not an international one which follows SSC board syllabi.

First let us appreciate the efforts for the details of the schools provided.
May i request if the information for all the schools is provided, i mean few schools like Bishops, St, Annes information is provided and schools like St Vincent’s what activities are carried is not provided. Abhinav scchools only address is provided no curriculam activities. Can we have a questionnaire or some sort of Table or comparison chart or atleast a website where the parents can judge and freeze school for their child. Because this the turning point in the life of every shild first and the parents as well. Hence it is better to have a relevant information and also study of schools as weel.

Completely disaggre with above listing. There are quite a lot better schools in pune (like Dnynprabodhani, Balshikshan Eng medium etc) than St. Mira’s and Bishap’s etc. I think this listing is based on non-marathi people’s feedback and not from Pune people.

looser

“Losers” spell it with “Looser”. Go get some quality education before making derogatory remarks.

My mistake in spelling. Both of you remain losers nevertheless for thinking dnyanprabodhani and balshikshan english medium school deserve to be in any list of good schools.

dear Ninad Patil
yes, you are right. i also not satisfied with above ratings. the above rating has been done by OMS- out of maharashtra state people. many good schools are still hide from above. some of them mentioned but their curriculam and details not shown. so what…now schools are doing business…charging high fees and collecting lot of money on the name of education….its not fair..a middle class father like me can not not afford…by the way thanks for your comments and waiting for your reply..to be honest please reply me from your bottom of heart, i will not mind it.

There’s a reason u r middle class and ur children will also remain middle class if u agree with people like Ninad Patil and not with the list prepared by the experts.

Hi Ninad Patil,
Can you suggest some good marathi medium schools in Pimpri chinchwad area..

Dear All,

Kothari National school is pretty good school with all the required facilities & good teaching staff. The teachers are good & every child receives personal attention from the teachers. There is a lot of stress on academics & the school regularly organizes Parents Teachers Meetings. The best thing about this school is the positive attitude of the staff towards the students & their parents. I am highly satisfied with the school & would advise others looking for CBSE schools in this part of the city to opt for Kothari National school instead of the other big schools which are more keen on branding & making money.

Regards,
Sanjay

Dear PrashantJi,

Bishops is not the only school there are several schools in Pune and they all have their own plus and minus factors. If you consider Bishops with an exposure to the stage and activities like Dance and Drama, they are zero, Abhinav is way better off than Bishops in that case.. However we cant just say one school is the best just because of one particular speciality it has. The above list is a pretty agreeable one..and Fee Structure wise it definitely is a very good one..though additions are always welcome!!
If Helenas and few others are missing, you must see their recent perfomance and then rate them!!

This is very nice post. I would like to take opportunity to collect information of schools with common criteria. This will help individuals to judge school. Parents who have information of schools please share information it will help many parents. Thanks in advance.
1.School Name
2.Location (try to give full address as too much travel for pupil not advisable)
3.Schooling available from(Nursery to 12th)

8.School annual result (try to get at least 3 years)

10.Communication channels used to communicate with parents like circulars, school calendar book, SMS system, weekly/monthly meeting hours for parent-teacher meet, PTA meetings.

I think Pune’s all School & Education Management’s are busy in their own Business and are totally not interested in developing their school’s Standard. My Google search engine also not found a single school when I searched for Holidays list for particularly 3-4 Schools. Some schools even don’t have their website and Hutchings High School Pune, have but they have not updated the calendar, fixtures & contact ( Phone Numbers, E-mail ID, Suggestion box, School Transport information etc. and mind you all these sessions are very helpful, important and must be in website because if schools are not updating and devloping with the time than how student will be hi tech..??
And please note that I am S.S.C. failed (Hindi medium school) Parent,
And if I can realize the miss management than what about the other educated parents..?? Where they are..?? Why they are not serious about our kids quality education..??
Please be serious and if anybody know whom to and how to complaint or notify then go ahead with the Pune education body or whatever…..

jago jago.. jago re……..

Hi All,
Really feeling very bad to write such kind of review for KIDZEE Pre primary school Pimple Saudagar branch.
KIDZEE Pre primary school Pimple Saudagar is the worst school. Never go for this school.
Totally Over crowded , Pathetic arrangements for kids. I have very Bad experience there.
They are only cashing the brand name of kidzee. No care for kids. Nobody cares if kids are injured, End of the day they don’t have answer how kids are injured. KIDZEE Pre primary school Pimple Saudagar
Is nightmare for me. The reception only tell lies and show different picture. Even teacher doesn’t have good communication and they not communicate in English. They know very well that we are emotional to kids and they are taking the benefit of this. Only show business. Better you put your kid in that school which is not overcrowded don’t go for brand. If you want to go for brand then put you rkid on big school which has pre primary to 10th class. In Kidzee it is just wastage of time and money. And after some your kid will be not able to compete with other kids.

I agree Hari. I recently visited the day care set up of Kidzee near Roseland and i was shocked to see their kitchen floor floor of water leaking their wash basin. i wonder how hygienic the food will be for kids there. The first two floors were awesome but when i rushed to see the kitchen on their terrace, i rushed out of the center with double the speed. The attended understood did not bother to stop me because she already knew what i had seen. Now i know ahy did was not trying to avoid me going to the kitchen

In Pune as far as I have observed high fee in preprimary in most of the branded schools and other things to justify the cost are missing. Same is the case with regular schoolsand espacially new schools which are charging hefty fee – like Indira National, Sanskriti School, Wisdom World, Tree House etc.. Teaching quality is a matter of concern.

hi
Can anybody tell me about how Rosary school camp ICSE is ?

Hi guys, do not take admission in Sanskriti School Pune, high fee doesn’t match with anything except the principal boosts of add ons in her infrastructure which most of the kids at primary school don’t use. Quality of learning techniques very poor and traditional, baised beahviour of teachers towards some few and transport pick and drop pints too far. Moreover nobody is ready to listen to parents grievances, principal will not respond to your queries, emails are not been responded in any case. Absurd behaviuor of principal towards parents- full of arrogance.

There are no CBSE schools in this list. OR is it that none of the CBSE schools in Pune come in the top 10 list? I highly doubt that. most of the schools listed here are old convent schools that follow the ICSE board.

As a parent of a young child it is very important to deeply ponder upon the choice of school that is Made in order to give the child an overall development because education is what remains, after one has forgotten, what one had learned at school. “Empros” is an international school which made my child well versed in various basic skills and etiquettes. The school has a vivid infrastructure which lets them play and learn, they also make sure that kids keep progressing keeping the right pace with the latest trends and technologies for this the school has incorporated “smart boards” in the curriculum, in order to give children a better understanding of subjects. The teachers are very friendly too.

Looking for a school for my daughter which will complete her 3 yrs in april 2017, looking forward for the nursery section, in an round 5 kms radius from Pune station.

Do anybody have idea about Orbis School located in Mundhwa Pune?

Insightful information shared. If anyone looking for best school in raipur then contact KPS Raipur

Hi, i just wanted to review a school as i am overwhelmed with their infrastructure, facilities, curricullum but i am surprised to see that you haven’t listed that school on our site yet! PICT Model School has a very good student-friendly curricullum plan as well as equal co-curricular and extra-curricular activities with a colourful and well-thought infrastructure and a lot of facilities. I’d like to review the school on all possible sites as it deserves grade A by all.
