Review of Air Force Bal Bharti: Air Force Bal Bharati School (AFBBS) estb. 1955, is a senior secondary school situated on Lodi Road, New Delhi, and run by the Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The school has an auditorium, library, sick bay, hostel, canteen, science lab, canteen, computer and CAL lab, music and art block, audio-visual room, sports complex and transport.

Additional facility – In order to facilitate the students and staffs of the school a bank on the name of Bank of Baroda (Extn. Counter) is available inside the school premises.

Admission Details: The primary aim of the school is to cater to the educational needs of children of Air Force Personnel. Therefore the priority of admissions is given to Air Force children. However, there are a reasonable number of seats available for admission of Non Air Force (NAF) Category as well, in UKG (entry level). For UKG:

a) Registration takes place in Dec.-Jan. for the next Academic Session.

b) The Minimum age for Admission to KG is 4 + as on 31st March of the Year of Admission.

c) The Admission Process is based on Policies and Guidelines issued by the Govt. of NCT Delhi.

For Classes I-X, NAF category admissions are done subject to availability of Seats. Registration takes place in Mar/April. Admission is made on the basis of an Entrance Test and completion of other formalities, such as furnishing of Transfer Certificate and Mark-sheet from the previous School.

For Class XI, the priority of admission is as follows:

(a) Students of AFBBS

(b) AF Children from other schools

(c) NAF children from other Schools.

Registration for Students other than AFBBS students is carried out within 10 Days of the declaration of Class X Results by CBSE.

All admissions are completed on or before 31 Jul. In exceptional cases, where Central Govt. Employees with transferrable service, arrive on posting to Delhi after 31 Jul of a year, admission may be considered with prior approval of competent authority, subject to availability of vacancies.

Review of Modern School:

 

The Modern School, commonly known as Modern, is a co-educational private school in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1920 by Lala Raghubir Singh and Sir Sobha Singh.

It is the first private school established in Delhi under the British Raj. It has a sprawling 27-acre (110,000 m2) campus on Barakhamba Road, near Connaught Place. The Junior School, also known as Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School, is located on Humayun Road. There is also a sister campus in Vasant Vihar.

It has a very long list of distinguished former pupils, including former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and is often described as the most famous private school in India.

Admission & Fees Structure of Modern School

Admissions

All students of class 5th of R.S.Junior Modern School, Humayun Road, New Delhi (the junior wing of our school) routinely get admitted in class 6th in our school. Apart from this, we admit students in classes from 6th to 9th and 11th depending on the number of vacancies available.

Classes 6th to 9th

For getting admission in classes from 6th to 9th the applicants should apply in the last week of February through an application addressed to the Principal, clearly mentioning whether the admission is sought as a DAY SCHOLAR or BOARDER, with details of the child’s academic performance and his/her achievements in the field of sports and co-curricular activities. A copy of result of the previous class must be attached.

An entrance examination is conducted normally in the second or third week of March and the candidates are tested in the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and Hindi. Although the date and time of the examination can be checked from the school’s reception over phone, it is suggested to come personally and ensure that your child’s name appears in the list of registered candidates for examination, put up at the gates. The candidates who qualify the written examination are called for an interview and they must be accompanied by both the parents. The list for the selected candidates for admission is put up at the reception/gates and the parents are advised to pay the fee and complete the admission formalities by a given date. The information will be available on our school’s website as well.

Class 11^th

 

For getting admission in class 11, the applicants should apply immediately after the class 10th results for the CBSE/ISCE are declared. The applicants should fill the application form available at school’s reception, mentioning whether the admission is sought as a DAY SCHOLAR or BOARDER, with details of the stream required i.e. science, commerce or humanities, with the subject combinations, and must attach his/her class 10th mark sheet/print out of his/her result available at the CBSE’s site, duly attested by the principle. After scrutiny of applications, list of short listed candidates is is put up at the school’s reception/gates, informing the date and time of interviews and the candidate must attend the interview along with both the parents.

The list of selected candidates for admission is put up at the reception/gates and the parents are advised to complete the admission formalities and pay fees by a given date. This information will be available on our school’s website as well.

As a matter of school’s policy, no admission is done in class 10th and 12th.
