It’s totally normal for baby to wake every 2-3 hours for the first few months. My twins were waking for feeding/diaper changes every 2-3 hours for the first 3 1/2 mos of their lives. Then one day, quite suddenly, they both slept for around 5 hours straight! My boyfriend and I both had to go check on them to make sure they were okay! LOL From that point on, they gradually increased their sleep, and now sleep around 8 hours straight through the night.
There’s nothing you can really do to increase their sleep right now, just let it happen naturally. Some people suggest adding rice starch to the formula at bedtime, but I don’t know if that works since I breastfeed my twins.
Good luck, and I PROMISE it will get better!
it’s not something that we can tell u , because all baby’s different.
But my 6,5 month old sleeping true the night since he was 3 month.
I don’t know he was just didn’t want to eat at night, sometimes he cry , but i just change his position and he would go back to sleep. Plus he was eating only 4,5 times a day, i mean he was eating good, he is not a small baby and he is formula feeding since he was born.
Now he is 6,5 month and we start solids at 5 month and he weights now 19.3 lbs. But he sleeps still true the night,
I now it will be hard but try to give him the same time when u feed him. Like when u wake up , then 3,4 hours latter, and like that count all the time, so when he goes at night to sleep he knows that’s it’s night. A lot of baby’s confuse that….day & night.
So just give him at night like 9,10 in evening more milk then usuall.
She could need more food before bed. Are you giving her cereal yet? If she’s waking up because she’s hungry, some rice cereal in her bottle might keep her full longer. People might disagree, but my pediatrician suggested it when my son was 3 weeks old, and he would sleep five or six hours at a time. He didn’t develop allergies or digestive problems either.
my daughter is 3 months now and sleeps the whole night through, except to wake up once to feed, then go back to sleep. she’s done this since she was 4 weeks old, and i put it down to co-sleeping, she just feels secure next to us so shesleeps better. done the right way, co-sleeping is very safe. i reccomend it. and it makes night feeds so simple if you breastfeed. good luck. x
try a bedtime routine. my son is 5 weeks old and has been sleeping through the night since he was about 3 weeks. i give him a warm bath every night at about 10:00 then swaddle him (only at bed time) turn off all the light and feed him his bottle. He know that when he has his bath and is swaddled with the lights out that it’s time for bed. works every night. he will sleep from about 10:30 or 11:00pm till about 7:00. hope this helps. also, i keep him up from at least 4 or 5 in the evening till bedtime so that he will be tired enough to go to sleep.
Every baby is different so it is impossible to say when she will start sleeping longer. Usually when they become more active during the day they get tired out and start sleeping longer at night. Try not to get into the habit of having her sleep in your arms though…that will make her only be able to sleep that way. Put her back in her crib and have her go back to sleep there.
That is normal, especially for smaller babies. It’s terribly hard on moms, especially if they don’t have help to cover at least one feeding so they can sleep. You can set her up in a bassinet beside your bed, especially if you are breastfeeding, so you don’t have to wake up fully to feed her.

I’d have to recommend getting help for a feeding- a neighbor, or relative. It’s a shame because you feel so miserable that you can’t enjoy her baby stage. The time she sleeps should lengthen as she gets older, and you can feed her as frequently as she’ll take it during the day, and then let her wake you at night.

my son has been 2 mths old for almost five mths now and generally sleeps through the night ………

btw .. people pay good money to not get any sleep ……
